The Bootcamp Diary: Jen D

1. What motivated you to start bootcamp?

After a few years of graduate school, I found that I had gained weight and was working out very little. My clothes didn’t fit. I tried for a while on my own, but was unable to sustain lasting change. I had a few friends who had experienced terrific results at NGTP, so I thought I’d give it a try. I am very happy I did!

2. Describe your bootcamp experience so far.

I’ve had an excellent experience in my seven weeks of bootcamp. I find the meal plan easy to follow and I am rarely (almost never) hungry. I have had fabulous results from the NGTP classes and exercise program, and I have loved the accountability portion of Bootcamp.

3. What’s been your favorite part so far?

The fitness portion. I feel so good after I work out and I am noticeably stronger than I was just 7 weeks ago. While my transformation has just begun, I am confident that I can meet goals that I wouldn’t have even imagined prior to bootcamp. The transformation has also happened much more quickly than I expected.

4. What has been the most surprising part of bootcamp?

I actually LOVE 6am classes! After a solid 6am workout I feel focused and ready to tackle the rest of my day. Initially I attended mostly evening classes, until I discovered how good I feel after a morning workout.

5. What has been the most challenging part of bootcamp?

The lack of red wine. For serious. I really love red wine.

6. How has your interaction been with your coaching team and the NGPT community?

Fabulous!!! I love the community and climate at NGTP. Everyone is supportive and helpful and it is clear that they are excited for you to meet your goals. I love that all of the staff have been through the program and can attest to the benefits of NGTP. I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by such inspiring and encouraging staff.
